Mission & Vision

SKECHERS European Distribution Center opened in 2002. The choice for Belgium was based on its excellent location at the heart of Europe, with highly developed road, rail and waterway infrastructure, ensuring quick and easy transport. Moreover, there is a high availability of skilled workers in Belgium, which ensures a flawless distribution throughout Europe. The continued growth in the European market and automation technologies installed, have increased efficiency and resulted in a huge volume of shoes shipped and a total surface of about 200.000 m² today.

Why does Skechers partner with WRT?

The biggest distribution centre of Wallonia ... and still growing … that is where the partnership with Weerts Group starts. Weerts Group provides and builds warehouses for Skechers’ growing needs. This excellent collaboration between 2 Belgian companies started in Milmort, continues in the United Kingdom, where the Brexit has created the necessity of its own warehouse outside European borders, and is evolving to become worldwide.

This along with the mutual passion for racing cars, has resulted in a wonderful partnership in which both companies made it individually but excel brilliantly together.
