The fact that the Audi R8 LMS functions really well on the circuit of Laguna Seca is a public secret. Audi Sport Team WRT has again proven this today.

Friday in America on the Laguna Seca Raceway started very well for Audi Sport Team WRT with a nice P2 in the Qualyfing session. The #10 Audi R8 LMS was only 0.038s slower than the #18 KCMG Nissan GT-R. 

In the Pole shootout session Audi Sport Team WRT chose Dries Vanthoor as the driver who would participate in the session.
During his session, the Belgian talent gradually built his times lap after lap, to then make a big step towards the top of the field at the end of the session.
Focus, talent and pure speed of the driver and the Audi R8 LMS resulted in a brilliant 3rd time when the checkered flag was waved on the finish line.
